Winter Velvet Frosting
V.Luxe gathered a list of tendencies that will be going out of fashion and the ones that will be coming in vogue for the upcoming season!

The upcoming seasons dictate the end of worldwide trends that have taken the lead in interior projects for the past years. It’s also the beginning of new experiments, combinations, fabrics, materials, and concepts. We can never take trends and great movements for granted. When we believe the interior design world is figured out, there comes a new way of jazzing up the décor. Here are the four tips we can’t wait to see everywhere!

Who else was waiting for these frosting days to bring back the “Hygge”? Mistake. The Danish concept of quality of coziness and the feeling of well-being in interiors is on its way out. This doesn’t mean you’ll have to give up the warm embrace of soft fabrics. “Bouclé” comes in its replacement. The fabric is popping up in great upholstery pieces and is setting the trend on our favourite showrooms and interior projects. It emphasizes textural value, making coziness a more exciting element that’s not plain nor “boring”.

The “new” bouclé reclaim comes hand-in-hand with natural textiles. In the bedroom, for instance, go for wools, cotton, linen, or alpaca, in the design scheme. They are everyone’s favourite as they’re considered healthy, cleanable, breathable, and have a timeless sense of beauty. On the other hand, leather has been losing its power. It is a less sustainable option, becoming the “black sheep” of textiles. But don’t lose your hope! There’re new vinyl alternatives that look and feel exactly like leather. You’re the one choosing the best way of expressing personality thought the design of the house. If you’re vibrant and groovy and are upset with the discredit of funky patterns, what about floral fabrics and wallpapers? This is the most trending alternative, from discrete half wallpaper walls to full-on displays of amusement, choose the option that suits your style best!

Now… We saved the most exciting element for last. Bring nature into your house and emphasize the unspoken affair of nature with mankind thought organic materials. Wood flooring, natural stones, daylight and plant life. Imagine a high ceiling living room with top to bottom windows, light wood floors, accents of marble or onyx, and a master centerpiece: a transversal indoor wall garden. Bringing plant life into your house will make it feel rejuvenated an alive.
A perfect, natural, shelter from the cold.

What else could we want more than this for fall and winter?
Maybe a fireplace… That’s also an unforgiven need!
